Decision area

Quality

You may be building a quality program for the first time or examining the one you already have. In either case, the job is the same: define what quality needs to mean, how it will be measured, and whether the resulting signal is reliable enough to act on.

Quality system

Build the signal you need, then test whether it can be trusted.

Like any measurement system, a quality system rests on six decisions.

Quality objective and risk
What quality needs to protect, where failure matters most, and what the measurement is meant to support.
Sampling and coverage
What gets reviewed, how the sample is selected, and whether the coverage is sufficient for the decisions being made.
Scoring and severity
How errors are classified, weighted, scored, and interpreted consistently.
Reviewer model and consistency
Who reviews, whether automated quality checks are used, what guidance applies to each, and whether the rules are applied consistently.
Calibration and arbitration
How disagreement is resolved and whether the result changes after arbitration.
Reporting and improvement loop
How results, disputes, complaints, and recurring patterns turn into decisions and improvement actions.

Evidence limits

Know what the evidence cannot prove.

Missing methodology
Until severity definitions and scoring rules are defined, a quality score has no stable meaning for comparison.
Incomplete coverage
Until sampling rules and review capacity are known, the reviewed sample cannot be assumed to represent the whole program.
Unverified reviewer consistency
Without reviewer guidance, calibration, and dispute evidence, consistent application of the quality model cannot be assumed.

Possible outcomes

Decide whether a reset is necessary.

The work may produce a new quality framework, a reset, a narrower correction, confirmation that the current system is sound, or no change at all. We do not presume provider fault.

Relevant engagement

Build it, test it, or reset it.

Translation Quality Audit and Reset

Use this to establish a quality system, complete a partial one, or test whether the current model measures the right things consistently. Controls are rebuilt where the evidence supports it.

Starting scope

One quality program or review workflow, operating, partial, or being established; one principal provider or intended provider model; up to 15 program languages; one common content and review model; existing scorecards and examples where available, or documented content risks and review requirements.

Included work

  • Define the quality objective, risk profile, and evidence the system needs to produce.
  • Design or test sampling, evaluated coverage, taxonomy, severity, and scoring logic.
  • Design or test the reviewer model, guidance, consistency, calibration, and arbitration process.
  • Connect reporting, disputes, upstream causes, and the improvement loop.
  • Prepare the people accountable for quality to launch or reset the working model.

Expected outputs

Formats confirmed at scoping.

  • Quality-system diagnosis or design.
  • New or revised framework.
  • Sampling plan.
  • Scorecard and reporting structure.
  • Reviewer and arbitration guide.
  • Owner setup session.
  • Launch or reset action plan.

Operating boundary

We design, establish, analyze, and improve the quality system while your team and providers continue the recurring translation and production QA/LQA workflow.

Optional evidence module: Independent Linguistic Validation can be added to an eligible engagement when an independent sample would help test the evidence. It is not available as a standalone service.

Use the evidence

Check the exposure behind the score.

The calculator uses your review inputs; the Quality Dashboard shows how quality signals interact in sample program data.

What do your quality findings need to change?

A fit call can establish whether the current quality controls need to be built, tested, or reset, and whether we can help.
